As 2025 draws to a close, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the interior design trends, innovations, and inspirations that defined the year. From bold colour palettes to sustainable design, 2025 has been a year of creativity, comfort, and forward-thinking interiors. Here’s my roundup of the top interior design highlights that captured the hearts of homeowners and designers alike.
1. Sustainable & Conscious Design
Sustainability continued to dominate interiors in 2025. Homeowners increasingly embraced eco-friendly materials and ethical practices:
Reclaimed & Natural Materials: Wooden furniture, bamboo, and recycled metals added warmth while supporting sustainability. I tend to use Facebook Marketplace to find materials or furniture to upcycle - repaint, reupholster or simply find gems. I found some amazing Staffordshire dog statues recently at a local fair!
Eco-Friendly Fabrics: Linen, organic cotton, and plant-based textiles became the go-to choices for upholstery and soft furnishings.

Round Tables & Mirrors: I have always been a fan of adding harmony and movement to rooms - the use of mirrors really makes them feel larger and more spacious.
Organic Accessories: Sculptural vases, ceramics, and lighting enhanced natural aesthetics; I have sourced some seriously cool vases and ceramics from Vinted this year! One of my best friends Katy Bell is amazing at hand painted lamps which are not over burdening to a room. They bring joy and life but are not too heavy.
